    “In den Gaststätten am Hauptplatz des Ortes am Bahnhof wird neben ungarisch nur teilweise englisch gesprochen. Empfehlenswert ist Vasparipa Falatozó, der Wirt spricht gut englisch, ist nett und ein guter Verkäufer. Das Essen ist lecker und der Preis gut. Leider arbeiten auch die Ungarn lieber für mehr Geld und daher in Deutschland, Österreich und England. Daher hat er weniger Personal als gewünscht und nur von Donnerstag bis Sonntag auf. Die Öffnungszeiten der meisten Gaststätten beginnen um 12.00 Uhr und enden zwischen 19.00 Uhr und 20.00 Uhr.

    Wer zum Essen Alkohol trinken möchte, ist auf die paar lokalen Gaststätten angewiesen. Ansonsten gibt es natürlich in den nächsten Orten auch noch mehr, speziell wenn alle Gaststätten in Zebegeny gleichzeitig zu haben.

    Zum Spottpreis kann man im nächsten Ort in Nagymaros im Panoráma Söröző essen. Mit Getränken und Trinkgeld für 5 Personen 7.000 Forint, ca. 20 Euro. Allerdings waren wir auch nicht so ganz zufrieden.

    Im Ort gibt es einen Spar, der alles notwendige anbietet. Wer mehr als dieses will, ist mindestens eine halbe Stunde mit dem Auto unterwegs.

    Mit dem Zug kommt man ca. einmal pro Stunde nach Budapest. Die Fahrkarten gibt es bei einem netten ungarisch sprechenden Bahnbeamten im Bahnhof. Von Zebegeny nach Budapest als Familie mit drei Kindern 550 Forint (weniger als 2 Euro) und zum gleichen Preis zurück. Wer möchte, kann dabei das WLAN im Zug nutzen.

    “Der Ort ist übersichtlich klein aber gemütlich. Wer das tobende Leben der Stadt sucht ist dort falsch. Wir fanden schöne gemütliche Restaurants dort und konnten mit unseren Hund in schöner Natur spazieren gehen. Man hat dort Berge zum wandern aber auch die tolle Lage an der Donau.
