Our vacation apartment offers space for 4-5 people and is located directly at the foot of the 'Grünten', centrally in the beautiful Oberallgäu.
The 'Knappendorf' Burgberg offers a very good infrastructure, all shopping facilities necessary for daily life are available, so the traditional bakery, butcher store and a very well-stocked grocery store with sufficient range of beverages can be reached quickly and easily on foot.
The range of restaurants in the village includes our well-known, home-style 'Allgäu' cuisine.
Due to the special location of our sunny village, the various leisure activities can be reached in a very short time, thus providing an optimal starting point for all kinds of activities.

In the historic center of Burgberg you will find our non-smoking vacation apartment as part of an original farmhouse with roots from the times of the 30-year war. The newly renovated and consistently lovingly furnished old building vacation apartment in the former 'Hakenschopf' comprises spacious 110sqm on two floors and captivates with its charming and interesting furnishings.
Thus, in addition to the well-known epochs of Baroque and Art Nouveau, there are also elements of the "Industrial Style" and numerous historical components which for the most part had never left the house for several decades, even several hundred years. The special style is underpinned by smart upcycling accents of the Allgäuer 'Mächlertum'.
The downstairs consists of a spacious entryway, a bathroom, and a large living & dining area with an open kitchen and a small utility room.
A high-quality soapstone fireplace makes cold winter evenings especially cozy with its exceptionally pleasant warmth.
On the upper floor of the former old threshing floor, a separate cozy bedroom is integrated, equipped with a French bed for two additional sleeping places.
In the open historic roof truss made of hand-hewn beams, there is a spacious double bed with two sleeping places on the gallery directly under the sloping roof.
Transitioning from the air space into the further living area with access to the roof terrace is inviting, next to the second fireplace stove and additional flat screen TV, a pull-out sofa bed with further capacity for a cozy sleeping space.
The roof terrace with a view of the 'Oberallgäu' mountain scenery completes the upper floor and makes all media obsolete.
Access to the upper floor, where the bedrooms and the further living area are located, is via a steep existing staircase and is therefore not barrier-free. We ask you to consider this in advance.
