Holiday apartment between Mozart and King Ludwig

This very large holiday apartment is situated between the Mozart city of Salzburg and the King Ludwig II castle on the Herreninsel in Chiemsee, right by the edge of a forest in the quiet and original Achthal (around 100 inhabitants), Teisendorf municipal area in the Berchtesgadener Land. It is accessed along a private road only.

The apartment with its own separate entrance occupies the whole upper floor and attic of a two-family house and measures over 200m² in total. It consists of a big living and dining room (ca. 60m²) with a tiled fireplace stove and a dining space for up to 8 people, a kitchen with a dining space, a master bedroom with a double bed and a walk-in wardrobe, as well as its own bathroom. There are two further bedrooms in the attic, one with a double bed, the other with a double bed and a pull-out day bed, each with their own bathroom. The two floors, designed as apartments, are connected by a generous stairway in the open hallway. The apartment is fully furnished and can accommodate up to 8 guests. Almost all the rooms are laid with high-quality oak parquet, apart from the bedroom on the upper floor with carpet. , as well as a large tiled fireplace stove for additional heating.

A big balcony runs along the whole south side of the apartment and is complemented by a big roofed terrace on the south side, as well as a smaller east-facing balcony by one of the two apartment rooms in the attic. You can share use of the garden on the south side in front of the house.

Owing to the location right by the forest, the apartment is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet and a generous apartment for their holiday, but would still like to visit the well-known summer and winter holiday destinations in Upper Bavaria, as well as Salzburg with its cultural life such as the Salzburger Festspiele, Christmas market etc. without actually staying there. The little village Achthal is ideally located between the various holiday areas in the Berchtesgadenener Land, Chiemgau and the Salzburger Land. Within 30 minutes by car you can get to all the well-known holiday regionsand it is 1-1.5 hours to the regional capital Munich along the motorway A8. From Salzburg Freilassing, Teisendorf or Traunstein there are various train connections to Munich (also by ICE), if you do not want to use your car.

    “Haus gut ausgestattet, aber in der Küche fehlen Kleinigkeiten, dafür reichlich Elektrogeräte vorhandenen. Schlafzimmer und Matratzen gut. Viele Balkone aber leider nirgends Blumen. Alles sehr dunkel. Keine Spazierwege in der Nähe. Für Hundeleute völlig ungeeignet. Hunde dürfen nur in Küche und Flur. Man muss selbst mit dem Hund immer erst mit dem Auto irgendwohin fahren. Garten nicht wirklich vorhanden, nur ein Stück vor dem Haus. Die Gegend hier sehr schön wenn man gerne und viel Auto fährt.”

    “Vielen Dank für die Hinweise betreffend fehlenden Kleinigkeiten und Hunde.
    Jeder Hinweis und Kommentar ist wichtig für uns damit wir den Service weiter verbessern können, wie z.B. fehlende Brettchen, Teekanne, etc.

    Bei Hunden sind wir sehr restriktiv geworden und diese nur ausnahmsweise erlauben. Auf Grund von Schäden, verursacht von Hunden, mussten wir innerhalb kürzester Zeit bereits im Wohnzimmer den kompletten Holzboden renovieren, alle Sitzbezüge und auch die komplette Sitzgarnitur erneuern.

    Wir würden Sie gerne wieder als Gäste begrüßen dürfen und bis dahin verbleibe ich
